What would your heat pump say? This is the question Daikin Central Europe is exploring around this year’s European Heat Pump Day on 21 October 2026, with a humorous social media campaign that gives residential heat pumps a voice. First-person messages highlight how heat pumps can provide heating, cooling and domestic hot water, helping households maintain home comfort throughout the year.

Daikin’s “What would your heat pump say?” campaign

Daikin’s social media series uses first-person storytelling with a playful wink to make residential heat-pump technology more relatable. Under the concept “What would your heat pump say?”, heat pumps themselves become the protagonists. Short messages such as “Winter. Summer. Pick a challenge,” “I take cold personally” or “You’re comfy. I’m busy” highlight how residential heat pumps can support home comfort day by day.

Heat pump technology can support home comfort throughout the year, but its benefits can sometimes feel technical or abstract. By giving heat pumps a voice, we want to tell ‘their’ story in a way that feels human, memorable and relevant to homeowners and occupants.
Alexander Dalinger, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Daikin Central Europe

How Daikin residential heat pumps provide home comfort

Whether for heating, cooling or domestic hot water, Daikin offers a range of residential solutions tailored to different home comfort needs. Depending on the selected product, system configuration and operating conditions, these solutions can provide heating, cooling and domestic hot water: Daikin Altherma 4 air-to-water heat pumps are designed for heating functions. Air-to-air heat pumps, including Stylish and Perfera, can deliver room cooling and heating. The new X Series launched in 2026 combines air-to-air and air-to-water technology to provide heating, cooling and domestic hot water through one outdoor system. Selected models achieve energy efficiency ratings of up to A+++ under the applicable EU energy-labelling scale.

Daikin heat pumps are available for a variety of residential applications, from apartments to family houses. The appropriate system and capacity depend on factors including the building’s heat demand, insulation, location and existing heat-distribution system. According to BRG Building Solutions data, more than 1.5 million Daikin hydronic heat pumps have been installed in Europe since 20061)
